The problem with listing the top 10 things to do in Haight-Ashbury is limiting yourself to 10 things. But here goes:

1. Golden Gate Park on the west side.
2. Checking out the Grateful Dead House (and Janis' pad just down the street)
3. Buena Vista Park
4. The many cool laid back bars like Kezars, Hobson's Choice and Gold Cane.
5. The funky clothing stores like Loyal Army, Ruby, Villains and Heroes.
6. Watching all the hippies, wannabees and gawkers. (Nothing beats gawkin at a gawker.)
7. The used record stores (with vinyl man!) like Amoeba, Recycle Records and Shaxul.
8. The stores with totally useless stuff that only tourists would buy.
9. The super funny, cool stores where you can buy bongs shaped like genitals. (Not that I would coppers!)
10. The world of ethnic restaurants that fill this place--like the Citrus Club, Cha Cha Cha, Squat and Gobble and the Alembic.

There ya go! Knock yourself out!
