Though Haight-Ashbury was once known as a sort of a hippy Mecca in the late 1960's it has long since become yet another hight price neighborhood in SF. In fact a quick survey of realestate websites shows that the lower range for one of the older Victorians here is about $1.4 Mil while the high end would be around $2 mil.
It's largely about location here though.
