"Nightlife and More"

This is definitely one of the better major streets in the Mission. The further west one travels in this neighborhood, the safer it tends to feel, and Guerrero has plenty to offer. Nightlife is abundant, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby (although it is not quite as bustling as the rest of the neighborhood). Bart Stations on Mission, at both 24th and 16th, make this a very accessible area.

It is also very drivable and easy to navigate, which is more than can be said of some of the other neighboring streets. Some of the nearby apartments on the side streets (particularly south, in the 20's) are very nice and spacious, giving residents the best of city life with plenty of room to stretch out.

On the down side, parking is a nightmare around here. I have spent thirty minutes looking for a spot in the past.
Pros
  • Cool apartments
  • Nearby nightlife
  • Cost:space:safety ratio (for SF)
Cons
  • Parts are questionably safe
  • Parking

"Not the best area to be at night"

There are a good amount of drug addicts and other sorts but the valencia Gardens apartments come with all the amenities like a washers and driers so you wont need to go out at night to do laundry so it could be worse. In fact it used to be worse and is getting better and this is a convenient location to live if you can find a place.

"Great Street for Eating and Drinking"

Guerrero has a lot going on. Lots of bars, taquerias, tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurants and clubs. It's a great place for single people to hang out, no so much for families. Guerrero is a very convenient street, as well, for it eventually turns into San Jose Ave, which takes you right to the freeway going south.
