What are the high schools like around Greeley? Is there one that shines compared to the others?

Greeley has chosen to go open enrollment. This means you can chose which school your kids go to. The "best" schools fill up first in enrollment. Each school has to take the kids in its boundary first and then the kids who want to go from out of the of area next. University and Frontier both are on the west end of town, Both schools enrollment fill up fast and I believe they both have some kind of lottery system to select new students. They end up getting kids from families who can afford to drive their kids to the west end of town everyday.

University Schools and Frontier Charter Academy are K-12, but they have some of the best ratings in Greeley. Union Preparatory School is another excellent high school academically speaking, although I've heard that socially they've had some problems with bullying and cliques. As far as public high schools, Greeley West is considered one of the best in this area.
