"Great Street, Great Town"
Scotts Valley offers a lovely oceanside retreat town not far from Silicon Valley, and Granite Creek Road is one of the main exits off of Highway 17. The street itself is not terribly notable, aside from its proximity to the freeway, but it is home to some beautiful suburban houses and is the access point to many of the side streets.
The houses here are large and beautiful, and have a bit of a mountain feeling without the winding, dizzying roads that are often accompanied with this kind of real estate (especially in the Bay Area). Traffic can get a big chunky at peak hours, but is usually not terrible in this low-key suburban area. Given the proximity to Scotts Valley Road (the main drag), access to shopping and food are fairly easy, although the nightlife in this town is somewhat limited.
Overall, this is another great choice if for families who want to live in Scott's Valley - as long as the price tag does not scare them away!
