Looking to move to the graduate hospital area

I'm looking to move to the graduate hospital area, ideally somewhere that's reasonable close to the south street bridge. Do you think there's any value in walking around and calling the "For Rent" signs in the area or is there a site you found helpful in locating your apartment? I'm looking for a 0/1 Bedroom, ideally under $950 (closer to $800 would be awesome), do you think that's feasible for the area? Thank you!

I've got a rental 1BR/1B listing at 2523 Grays Ferry Ave. It's just been freshly painted & renovated & is available for immediate move-in.
