"Nice Houses, Bring Dramamine"
The second you start driving up the hill, the cell phone reception cuts out and does not reactivate again until the clearing at Kennolyn Camp, about three miles up the hill. There is not much on the street itself, other than driveways and side streets, but the area is simply stunning, with redwood trees and other foliage creating a canopy over the main road. While it feels a bit remote, it is residential and easily accessible to both Soquel Drive (the main drag in town) and nearby Santa Cruz.
The biggest considerable downfall is the winding road - after just miles of this, I needed a break. The bends and turns can get nauseating rather quickly, especially given the relatively proximity to town. But if you have an iron stomach and deep pockets, living here could certainly be worth it!
