Georgesville Rd, West Broad

Georgesville Road is located on the west side of Columbus. It runs just about the full length of Columbus' west side from north to south. At the intersection of Georgesville Road and West Broad Street is the Westland Mall. This is a large mall with all the major department stores, like JC Penny, Sears and what used to be Lazarus (now known as Macy's). There are a tone of resturants, just like at any other major mall, but my favorite is York's Steak House. I don't know how they do it, but they have the best T-Bone ever!

Down Georgesville Road, about two miles south of the mall is a movie theater that I take my kids to. It wasn't there when I was a kid, but this theater is larger than the movie theater at the mall.

Overall I love Georgesville Road, there are tons of things to do, and it's a pretty safe area (especially compared to the other places on the west side).

Georgesville Road seems to be one of the used to be main streets before the highway intervened. There seems to be two different halves to me. One half has things like an empty Meijer building, Wal-Mart, Taco Bell, and a bowling alley. Not too nice, and probably somewhere to avoid. However, the other side has a shopping center, movie theater, and nice stores. This is a very nice place to go. The apartment housing there is beautiful, and very centrally located. Like I said, this road is very nice... on one half.
