Meh, I'm not the biggest fan of Garfield Park and the schools are said to be kinda crappy. It's not the safest neighborhood, so I don't think many good teachers want to deal with the problems.
The schools in this area have a below average rating in test scores and parental reviews. There is a great Charter School on W. Jackson Blvd that I would look into for elementary age children.
