If you don't mind some jaunts through the Queen Anne Neighborhood, here's how I would go:

1. Fremont Bridge
2. Head West on Nickerson St.
3. Slight Left on Florentia St.
4. Left on Queen Anne Ave N
5. Take Queen Anne Ave up and over the hill down to Denny Way
6. Take a left and head East on Denny and turn on the south-bound street of your choice (minding the one-way streets)

Note: This is a pretty good route when traffic is backed up on 99, which it more frequently is because of the tunnel project.

When traffic is light, 99 may be the quickest option.

Hope this helps.
