"Where Real Philadelphians Drink"
Frankford Ave is the busiest, most important street in the northeast. It runs through counties as route 13, but I am talking about the Frankford Ave at Cottman. You probably saw it on the news the night of the Phillies World Series with a massive crowd of people. This street is littered with bars, but most people are from the area. There is shopping and spas and direct access to 2 very helpful bus lines.

"Frankford Ave, Under the EL"
Frankford Ave is in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. The elevated trains runs directly above the street. There are numerous elevated train stops along the avenue, as well as busses running day and night.
The elevated train does create noisy living conditions and alot of litter is discarded along the street. Locals call it "Frankford AV".
Frankford Ave offers great shopping deals in small discount stores. Shopping is best done during daylight hours, nighttime can be a little scary unless you are near an elevated train stop. The elevated train creates deep dark shadows at night, and there are numerous bars that well, look a little seedy.
