Don't want to live in the city but are there canyon properties near Fort Collins 35plus acres?

I am ideally looking for a hunting property and would like forest and maybe a creek...Poudre River area?

That area or north of there has hunting areas. I would have to get with the Division of Wildlife to get more specifics on areas, tags, and licenses. If you want me to do that for you next week please contact me and I will help you out.

Generally you won't find 35 acre properties in the canyons west of Fort Collins, for example Poudre Canyon, Thompson Canyon, Soldier Canyon, etc. Typically you will find much smaller properties, but there are some areas in the foothills west and northwest of Fort Collins, not in the canyons, that have acreage. Along Buckhorn Canyon area there are some places that are acreages. Most of the these acreage type areas will be within 30-40 minutes of Fort Collins. What kind of hunting are you looking at? Most of the deer and elk hunting is much further into the mountains.

LoganMntMan Thanks for the information and yes, I am mostly Interested in deer and elk. How about the Red Feather Lake area for big acreage and hunting?
