"Great workout!"

Filbert Street runs east-west from Lyon (near the Presidio) to Kearny (North Beach) which then turns into a walkway or what's better known as the the famous Filbert Street steps that lead down to the Embarcadero. They are hard to climb up (better to go down) and they have a beautiful garden along the way that is maintained by the residents that live there. The gradient they say is 17 degrees. But they are also a GREAT workout for the glutes! Highly recommend them for a workout.

Toward the other end of Filbert, across Van Ness and toward the Presidio is residential with your occasional corner store or laundromat.

"Not having much importance"

Filbert street originates at Lyon street and runs eastward. It has several residential houses some of which are only accessible through the Filbert Street Steps, one of the most famous stairways of San Francisco. Further up the Filbert Street is the Coit tower which is of scenic importance. This street is almost steep along its route and not much of activity takes place down here.

"Not a lot to say about it."

Well, this is another of those extremely steep streets. If your looking for a workout, here you go. This street isn't exactly as interesting as it's competitor 22nd Street, but if you are just dying to walk one of the steepest streets in the world, this one will work just fine. Other than that - I got nothin.
