Does Excelsior in San Francisco have good schools?

Honestly, no...there are 6 schools in excelsior but only one of them, monroe elementary school, with a barely average score of 7, was able to achieve a rating above 5...
now technically there is only 1 high school in the excelsior, the absolutely horrible June Jordan school for equity with an embarrassingly low score of 1 on the rankings list...but, just 1 block outside of the excelsior is Balboa high school, and since most residents have attended or will attend Balboa for high school, it is thought of as an excelsior school...but sadly, this means Balboa and its very mediocre score of 5, is the best option for high school students living in the excelsior...

fyi, so there's no confusion, the lowest score possible is a 1...making the highest possible a 10...
