Much of Evergreen is located in unincorporated Jefferson County and currently, the sales tax rate is only 4.5%. Surprisingly, this is down from the 4.6% that was charged in more recent years. If, however, you are in the portion of Evergreen in Clear Creek County, the sales tax rate is only 3.9%. Helpful hint: If you reside in either of these areas and are purchasing larger items such as furniture or TVs, the amount you save in sales tax to have the item delivered to your home (versus picking it up in the Denver area) will just about equal the delivery charge in many cases. Also if you're purchasing higher ticket items that can be shipped, you'll often save quite a bit of money by having the item shipped to your Evergreen address (versus purchasing it in the city). :)

If you are asking about the sales tax rate, I believe it's a little over 8% and food is not taxed.
