"A Small Street with a Big School"

Although most people do not know it, Eucalyptus crosses 19th Avenue to run into Ocean Avenue and Junipero Serra Blvd. The key parts of Eucalyptus, though, are on the west side of 19th. Running alongside Stonestown Shopping Center, Eucalyptus continues south to where it is the home to one of hte most prestigious public high schools in the country--my alma mater, Lowell High School. Home, at one time or another, to Rube Goldberg, Pierre Salinger, Hewlett AND Packard, Justice Breyer, and me, Lowell contains the highest concentration of post-pubescent brain power this side of the Mississippi. Other than that, Eucalyptus is a quiet street, with larger homes and not a great deal of traffic.

"Family Friendly Area!"

Eucalyptus Drive is not a very large street. It’s accessible if you’re driving on Lake Merced Boulevard by Lake Merced. The only distinguishable feature about this street is that one of San Francisco’s best a public school is located here, Lowell High School. On the same street is Lakeshore Elementary School, a church, a mini park, and a 24-Hour Fitness gym. This street is barely lit, which is actually a good sign in San Francisco. It means that crime rarely occurs on this street; therefore lights are not a necessity. The houses here are gorgeous two-story homes with kept lawns. Not very many people walk on this street when it’s not time for students to go to or leave school. However, this is an ideal place to raise a family.

"A small but very bust street."

Eucalyptus Dr. is a busy street close to many popular places. It is home to one of the best high schools in the city, Lowell High. And right next to Lowell is Lakeshore Elementary School. It is few blocks from Lakeshore shopping center as well. This shopping center has Lucky’s grocery store, Wachovia, and many different restaurants. There is a park located on this street too. Stonestown Galleria, a very popular mall, is located on this street as well. A perfect place for a family to be raised. Very safe and quiet usually except for when school starts and ends.

"Eucalyptus Drive:Safe and Quiet"

This short street is rarely noisy, it is peaceful and it is safe. The sidewalks are very clean and so are the houses. There are nice, big houses lining this drive that have front lawns. There is a few shopping places within walking distance. The Lakeshore Plaza includes an Albertsons for grocery shopping, Arby’s for great food, etc. Stonestown Galleria is also nearby, this is a mall to shop for clothes, food, books, supplies, etc. There are a few schools, Lowell High School and St. Stevens, which is from elementary to eighth grade. A exercise facility called the YMCA is nearby and a library called Lakeshore library. This street also has two churches nearby, a Presbyterian church and a Catholic church. This street is very peaceful and a safe environment to raise a family.

"Location of Lowell High School and Lakeshore Elementary"

This short street is the home to San Franicisco's magnet high school, Lowell. Just down the block is the Lakeshore Elementary. Along this same blick there is also a small and pleasant park with swimgs, a slide, and a small field area. Across the street from all these are just houses. The area is very quite during the day, but has a rush of people in the morning and in the afternoon. It is hard to find parking on this street for more than two hours, but there are many side streets with plenty of parking. Eucalyptus Drive is just a short walk away from Stonestown Shopping Galleria. It is also parallel to Ocean Street which has many stores available. Also near Eucalyptus Drive is Lakeshore shopping center, which includes store such as Noah's bagels, Ross, and Lucky's. Living on Eucalyptus is very convenient, especially if you have children you can enroll in the nearby schools. If not, it is still a great place to live if you like walking to places nearby. Lake Merced is just a block away parallel to Eucalyptus Drive. Overall, I really like this street.

"Great Suburb-Eucalyptus Drive"

Eucalyptus Drive
Eucalyptus dr. is a small street, extending less than a mile, in the Sunset District of San Francisco. Eucalyptus dr. and its cross streets are mostly sub-urban and made up of spacious and highly livable homes. On Eucalyptus dr. is located one of the nationally renowned public high schools, Lowell High School. The adorable Stonestown Galleria (shopping mall), small parks and the M public bus line are around or within three blocks of walking distance from Eucalyptus dr. During the weekends it is more serene and peaceful. Generally it’s very peaceful and calm in the neighborhood. The high school students in the vicinity have a high reputation to be very academically focused. The area is very safe and is a perfect neighborhood for senior citizens and for raising families. It is adjacent to Ocean Beach and 19th Ave, which is one of the most busiest and major streets of San Francisco. It is a serene and beautiful neighborhood.

"A short calm street with a variety of surroundings."

Eucalyptus Drive runs from Ocean Avenue all the way to Clearfield Drive. It is only about 20 blocks long however it has a variety of building off of it. On Ocean Avenue and Eucalyptus drive, there is a convenient store. A few blocks down, near 20th avenue, there is an entrance to Stonestown Galleria which is home to many popular stores and a YMCA which is very neighborhood orientated. Down a few more blocks, there is Ralph Nichols Park which is popular for dogs and children. Alongside the park there is Lowell High School which is filtered so the teenagers are not too rowdy. Next to the high school, there is Lakeshore Elementary school, which is a popular school. Surrounding all of this are basic sunset houses and nice neighbors. Traffic isn't bad however parking during school house gets tough near the high school. I would recommend living here for any type of family. The only downside is there is not real authentic food nearby.

"Beautiful street that houses two schools and pretty park."

Eucalyptus Drive runs perpendicular to 19th Avenue and is two blocks away and parallel to the busy Sloat Boulevard. Although it is a relatively short street, there is lots of activity going on Eucalyptus. Ralph Nicols Park is on Eucalyptus and 25th Avenue. The park isn’t the biggest, but there is a lot of green and is very pretty. The street gets its name for its multiple eucalyptus trees running all the way down the street.

Eucalyptus Drive is home to two schools, St. Stephens Grammar School and the prestigious and nationally ranked Lowell High School. The traffic is really bad on Eucalyptus during the mornings and after-school hours due to parents and students going to and leaving school. Living on this street would not be ideal because of all the traffic; however, the houses are nice.

Eucalyptus Drive runs right along Stonestown mall and has an entrance to the parking lot. There’s a YMCA on 19th Avenue and Eucalyptus. If you go all the way down the street, you will run into Lakeshore shopping complex which has a Lucky grocery store, and various restaurants and stores such as Ross.
