Englewood, Chicago has had an influx of changes over the last few years. There is new housing, a new shopping center and the newly opened Kennedy-King College, which is home to the Washburne Culinary Institute.

Coordinated efforts by local businesses and leaders has created a project plan that calls for new parks, housing, retail and entertainment. Englewood is in the midst of a revival.

While in the area be sure to visit Kennedy-King College and then go over to the Sikia restaurant. This African-influenced restaurant provides training for students of the Washburne Culinary Institute at Kennedy-King College. The food is wonderful and the prices are very reasonable.
