"A prime example of a Troost corridor neighborhood"
This neighborhood, like many around it, is fairly typical for an area sharing a border with Troost. Troost runs down the Western side of the neighborhood and Paseo runs down the Easter side. The residential area is a typical mix of older homes (some in a state of serious disrepair), equally old homes with recent restorations and a few newer homes replacing demolished properties. There is fast food along Troost and Paseo though little in the way of good food to be found. Living this close to Troost, you're going to have to deal with some crime and it's even a little worse with Paseo close by as well. Beyond the crime, you are also in the KC school district which, in a nutshell, is a terrible place to send children unless you own stock in juvenile correctional facilities. The only really positive thing to say is that it is pretty cheap to live there. As with most neighborhoods in the Troost corridor, you're really taking your chances here.
