"Plenty of Schools Make This Street Good For Kids"
The section of East 182nd Street between 3rd Avenue and Jerome Avenue has plenty of schools around. And since it has a lot of schools, there are also a lot of kids. There are also a lot of people hanging around. At certain intersections there are stores and small delis you can go into.
Overall, not a bad place to go if you have kids. If you don't, you might want to look elsewhere, unless you are retired or a recluse.

"East 182nd Street"
Here, you’ll find several small businesses and things to do, though there isn’t really much in the way of fun. Of course, as with any city, you have residential areas and you have commercial areas. Generally, boroughs are a mix of both, but this neighborhood is mainly residential. I wouldn’t think to come here to find a place to live though, as I wasn’t really impressed with this particular street or the people. All in all, an average block.
