East 12th St, Flatbush

East 12th Street is primarily a residential street, with some small businesses and shops. This neighborhood was lively and pretty. There wasn’t as much noise here as on the other streets, though this differs from Avenue to Avenue. This long street is very well accessible as there is a metro stop on nearly every avenue it runs through. In terms of food or fun, I don’t think you’ll be in luck here, but in terms of some nice housing options, you might be in luck. I liked this street, and think that the neighborhood has a lot to offer its residents as well as visitors.

Plenty of cheap food, but nothing really to do in the way of entertainment.I didn't like this street. It was unattractive, the people were rude, and it was very smelly. I wasn't impressed and don't think you'll see this street on any tours of New York City anytime soon. It's fairly convenient though and it is close to the metro! You'll find more in terms of conveniences, but nothing too interesting.
