Are there a lot of activities in Downtown Cincinnati on the weekends?

Cincinnati used to die after rush hour on Fridays, but these days it comes alive. The Aronoff Center hosts plays and special events. Taft Museum on Pike St. ( http://www.taftmuseum.org/ ) has a unique collection of art on display and you can still view their "Art for All" paintings in venues throughout town. The Contemporary Art Center at 6th and Walnut ( http://contemporaryartscenter.org/ ) has exhibits and family programs. Main Street has night spots and galleries.
On Fountain Square during the spring and summer there's Indie music on Fridays, Hip Hop on Saturdays and Family Movie Night on Sundays. There are Reds Games from spring to summer and Bengals games in the fall. The Reds also have a hall of fame and museum on the Great American Ball Park grounds.
There are martini bars, and restaurants all over town. The Banks opened recently with a new selection of restaurants and night spots for those who desire something new.

Yes! Aside from bars and restaurants in downtown and OTR, which are hopping on the weekends, there are often concerts and festivals at Fountain Square. Reds and Bengals games are also fun to attend. In the winter months, you can go ice skating downtown at Fountain Square as well.
