Douglas is an old and very convenient Chicago neighborhood. There are lots of old and new residences, depending on your taste and your budget. There are a lot of small, family run restaurants in the area. There are also some very nice parks, plus the Lake Michigan beach. In Woodland Park you will find the tomb of Stephen A. Douglas, the founder of this neighborhood who died in 1861.
