Can anyone recommend a good spa in Denver?

I'm looking to give a spa gift certificate to a good friend and want to send her somewhere nice. Any recommendations?

Aqua Spa won this year's Denver's A-list Award as the best spa. It is located near Southlands. www.aquaurbanspa.com

In the Denver area, I like Beau Visage. http://www.bvspa.com/

However, if you want the absolute best massage, you should check out Colorado Wellness Group, also known as Medical Massage Center. www.medicalmassagecenter.com I've been going there for over 10 years and have tried many other places, but this one is the best by far! Everyone I've sent there loves it. They really go above and beyond the typical massage and are great with injuries as well.

If you want a place with a beautiful setting and great ambiance, check out Tall Grass Spa in Evergreen. Gail, the owner, really knows how to run a spa business and she has one of the most beautiful locations in Evergreen. www.tallgrassspa.com If you really want to spoil yourself and your friend (or anyone else), consider making it an overnight stay and check out the Highland Haven Inn. Located on Bear Creek, this is also a beautiful setting and this owner (also Gail) really knows how to run an inn!! www.highlandhaven.com The Highland Haven is located at the end of Downtown Evergreen so provides easy access to strolling along and visiting the cute shops and/or taking a walk around Evergreen Lake. You can even ice skate on the lake during the colder winter months.

Finally, Whispering Pines Day Spa in Evergreen (in Bergen Park on the north side of Evergreen) deserves to be mentioned! It is a very nice spa as well and is becoming more well-known. www.whisperingpinesspa.com

It's a little bit out of town, but I think hands down the best spa in the area is the Tallgrass Aveda Spa and Salon in Evergreen (www.tallgrassspa.com). It's nestled away in the mountains, it feels like a mountain lodge, there's a big lovely fireplace and lots of great spa services. I love it!!
