I've recently been to the 88th Drive in Theater in Commerce City. It's really kind of weird in a throwback kind of way because I hadn't been to one since I was little. It was just like I remembered with the little concession stand and people out on their lawn chairs and in the backs of trucks. I don't remember how they did it in the past but this particular drive-in plays three movies in a row, all new releases. From a financial standpoint it's quite a good deal. It's only $8 for adults and kids under 12 are free. Not bad for three movies. The only drawback is the movies don't start until after dusk, so there was no way we were making to the third movie which started around 1:30 or 2 in the morning! Those days of staying up all night are long over for me! :) Overall it was a fun outing for us and the kids really thought it was fun.
