Commerce St. in Tujunga CA was once a thriving shopping district. When American shopping habits changed in the last quarter of the 20th Century the area began to decline. Luckily there are no boarded up buildings, although small manufacturing has taken over from retail. The historic Tujunga Drug Store built in 1914 was deemed unsalvageable and torn down. Many building on the street have a long history. Ask any old timer and he will tell you a story.
