"Industrialized and simply unappealing. "
College Point Blvd is just one of those roads you travel on to get somewhere else. There is nothing of note and the entire street is just dark, dank and industrial with lumbar, construction and car yards lining the area. While that might work for some people it's just kind of ugly in my opinion. The road also leads towards the Whitestone Expressway service road which is busy and pretty crowded. Overall it's not a place you have to go and I probably would not.
"Home Improvement Supply Area"
This area is filled with lumber yards and even cement companies. Not only that but, there's a few nice little bars and pool halls. Mostly owned by Chinese or Korean but there are a few companies that's not. There's very few residential in this area beside a few big apartment complex. Toward the Whitestone Expressway area there's a few houses, but pretty run down. There's a nice Buffet, I believe it's Greek or some sort right on College Point Blvd close to the 678 express way. Avoid walking if possible, since there's no walk ways always double parked cars or commercial plate vans that blocks walking paths.

"The hub of College Point"
College Point Blvd. is the Main Street of College Point. This is where most stores including grocery, banks, laundrymats, resturants and the Public Library are located. From the start of the Blvd. at The Whitestone Expressway to the end, McNeil Park there is a change from commercial to business properties to the green of the park.
