How walkable is the Clinton (Hell's Kitchen) neighborhood in New York City?

It's definitely walkable -- and, I would recommend walking over trying to navigate a car through that traffic -- but, this neighborhood isn't exactly exciting or aesthetically pleasing so you're not gonna see much while you're walking.
