I'm with SuzM on this one... For something fun and unique, try either Just Crepes or one of the food trucks that show up downtown during lunchtime. If you're looking for something really inexpensive that has Cincinnati flair, though, there are two or three Skyline Chili locations downtown. Skyline is always delicious and very affordable! Plus, it's a great place to take a visitor or client who wants to get a taste of Cincinnati.

Besides brown bagging it as an economical way of eating lunch downtown, there are many great options that are relatively inexpensive. You can get a grilled cheese and a soda for around $5 at Tom + Chee on Court Street. It's Just Crepes has locations on both Fourth Street and Court Street and you can get a tasty lunch for less than $10. If you're in the vicinity of Findlay Market, there are many places to get an economical lunch both inside the main market building and at the surrounding shops. Taqueria Mercado on East 8th Street offers some tasty Mexican fare for less than $10. There's also a Chipotle at Fountain Square and some other chain fast food places are located in the food court at Tower Place Mall. There are also several lunch trucks, such as Cafe de Wheels and Taco Azul, which make their appearance during downtown lunchtime. Many places also run lunchtime specials, so keep an eye out for those and take advantage when you can.
