While the chant "Who Dey" has been used for over 30 years in support of the Cincinnati Bengals, the term may actually stem from a similar chant used by New Orleans Saints fans: "Who Dat." The full chant is "Who dat talkin' 'bout beatin' dem Jags." Similarly, the full version of the Bengals chant goes "Who dey think gonna beat dem Bengals?" This has spurred a long-standing debate between Saints and Bengals fans about where the chant actually originated.
