There are several organizations that operate community-wide fundraising. The Fine Arts Fund and United Way are two organizations that operate community-wide fundraising. Often, corporate employees are able to make payroll deductions contributing to these organizations. The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati holds an annual community campaign. Another annual fundraiser that seeks to raise money community-wide is for the annual "Rubber Duck Regatta," which is a fundraiser for the Freestore Foodbank. You can purchase a rubber duck for the regatta at all local Kroger stores. As a former fundraising professional, I can tell you that most non-profit organizations solicit donations across the community.

Several non profits hold annual fund drives, including United Way, which will collect donations from your pay check each month if you prefer. WCET, WVXU and WGUC, Cincinnati's public radio and TV stations hold on the air fund raisers. The Fine Arts Fund solicits donations from everyone. There are also many walkathons, such as the Walk for Babies (March of Dimes) and many others.
