In the late 60s-- yes I was a little girl way back then-- the Cincinnati Strangler killed at least one of his victims in Burnett Woods. That was a long time ago, but I still think about it each time I pass that park. That didn't mean there was anything inherently dangerous about Burnett Woods, it just meant that people shouldn't let their guard down when walking alone in a city park--- any city park-- especially at night.

Cincinnati has a lot of parks, including many small, inner city parks. Those are the ones that tend to be more "dangerous." In the past, Washington Park in Over-The-Rhine was known for its homeless population and drug deals, but it just reopened with much fanfare, so will probably be much safer than in the past. Personally, I would never go to Inwood Park located off of Vine Street as you head towards the University of Cincinnati. Inwood Park has had a lot of crime occur in it, including murders.
