Is Chicago a bike friendly city?

Overall I'd say yes. There are a fair number of places you can get a great ride in, and I often see bikers heading off in every direction. Probably the best reason that Chicago is good for bicyclists is the new Divvy system, which allows you to rent bikes and ride them around as you need. I've used them once, and it was kinda nice. You can have the bikes out for 30 minutes at a time, and it's only $7 a pop. Not bad. I also took a look online and there's over 200 miles of bike lanes and paved areas for those hoping to hit the roads on their bike.
