Art Institute Book Swap

WOO-HOO! Mark your calendar, Folks! On Saturday, October 9th, noon-5:00pm, the Art Institute of Chicago (www.artic.edu) will be holding their “Art Book Swap” event in the Ryerson and Burnham Library.

The event is free and open to the public. You can bring your art books and swap one-for-one with hundreds of donated art books. Anything left over after the event will be donated to the Champaign-Urbana “Books to Prisoners” program for placement in Illinois prison libraries.

For more information on attending the book swap, book eligibility guidelines, and how to donate your books, visit: www.regencyartspress.org or www.newartdealers.org.

Now for the caveats. The following books are NOT eligible for swapping:
Applied Art books
Instructional craft books
Travel books
Children's books
Nature or Animal books
Reference books
Magazines
Auction catalogs
Fiction
More than 2 copies of ANY art book will not be accepted.

This sounds like a fabulous way to update your collection of Art books. And what's better than FREE?
