Carriage Place

Carriage Place in Aurora is located in the midst of neighborhoods in a well populated area. The neighborhood is nice and has parks located all around. It lies within the borders of East Hampden Avenue and East Quincy Avenue, both of which are major roads in Aurora. Carriage Place however, is far enough east in the city to not have too much traffic. The houses are single family homes with yards well tended and trees which are well established.

Although the neighborhood is mostly homes with a few apartments, on the major roads there are numerous gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants. You needn't travel far to find what you need.

Carriage Place has two elementary schools located within the neighborhood, Cimmaron and Summit. Both schools are rated average in academics while the local middle school, Horizon Community is rated just below average. The high school, however, is Smoky Hill High School and is part of the Cherry Creek School District, which has always maintained high ratings for both academics and athletics.

This is a great neighborhood with lots of parks in the area and a nice vibe to it. It is predominantly families, but with others such as retirees in the mix.

Unless you're heading east to the tollway, it will take some time to get out of the neighborhood and onto major thoroughfares. The drive to Denver or other non-local places for employment can be long unless you plan on leaving early. While the traffic isn't horrible, it is just not a location conducive to easy travel via major highways.
