"Unsafe street near campus"

I attended the University of Southern California. South Budlong Ave. is two blocks west of the campus. A couple of friends lived there. I never felt safe there. On several occasions I heard gunshots. I saw numerous cars that had recently been broken in to. Their apartment was small, old, and not well maintained.
