Has there ever been a scare at the power plant in Buchanan?

I live within the 10 mile radius of Indian Point and have not been affected in over 20 years.
Indian Point has history of malfunctions, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Point_Energy_Center, but these either stay confined within the concrete dome, or on site, or when steam was vented the radiation level was within Federal safety limits.
Is there risk, yes. But there is risk living near any power generating plant be it coal or natural gas. And there is more radiation exposure in eating a banana, smoking a cigarette or taking a long distance flight than in living near a nuclear plant.

We are used to living with Indian Point. It never comes up as a problem. I lived for 16 years due east of power plant in Katonah. It's there, that's all.
