Broxton Ave, Westwood

Broxton Avenue is one of the quieter and smaller streets as far as cars go; but, it is one of the busiest streets in the village. It is the optimal young person's first date place because of all of the first datey things packed into one tiny area. The two famous theaters in Westwood are both on Broxton: The Fox and The Bruin. A lot of the LA premieres are held at the Fox theater and they are both so old and pretty on the inside. They both still look like play theatres and they're really cool. Right on the same block as the theaters is both CPK and BJ's. Yeah, they're both chains and I'm not a huge fan of CPK, but man I love BJ's. I love their beer flights, pizza, appetizers . . you name it. If you're in for a boozy (albeit cheesy) and fatty good time. Across the street from BJ's is maybe the best thing about Westwood: Diddy Riese. They have four cookies for a dollar or an ice cream sandwich made with their cookies for a dollar. They place is always packed but the line moves fast. And, yeah, the cookies aren't anything to write home about but the ice cream sandwiches are pretty ridiculous.
There are a couple other little novelty restaurants on the street like Mr Noodle and Hollywood fries. Mr Noodle is great and who doesn't like a restaurant that only serves fries with a bunch of different kinds of sauces? The Gypsy cafe has hookah which can be cool if you're into that sort of thing. Basically, it's dinner, dessert a movie and drinks or hookah without having to leave a two block radius. It's the perfect night out!

This area isn't the cleanest street but its close to the college. The streets are filled with resturants and pubs that serve food to suit the college students needs. There are a few bookstores aligned on the street but strategically placed between a bar and another bar. I don't think that was a good idea. The public transportation is excellent because of what kind of citizens inhabit this area. Students!
