Safe places to live in New York/Brooklyn

Do to unhealthy living situation I'm going to have to move. I need to know how safe this place. Also I have limited income and going to college. I need some recommendations I'm considering 38 Sixth Avenue,
Brooklyn, NY the apartments across from Barclays. It Is New York though so I can't expect to be to safe
