Dangerous to be near chemical plant?

My fiancé and I are from Fishtown and looking to buy a home in Bridesburg. We are familiar with the area and love it but I am concerned about being so close to the chemical plant. Is it something to be concerned about?

The former Rohm and Hass plant at Bridge and Richmond sts is currently undergoing remediation efforts to restore it for future use
