"Not far from NY"

This would be a great place to live if you commute back and forth to NY. I wouldnt personally live in this particular area just because although there are small businesses and large traffic..it to me is too quiet when it comes to communicating with the neighbors. It seems to me on this particular street that these people are too busy to make friends. Although the houses are very beautiful and scenic..i wouldnt live here.

"This street is great for what it is - a place to live for commuting to the city"

My personal opinion is that Bloomfield Street in Hoboken is totally great for exactly what it is - a perfect street to live for commuting into New York city. While this street may not have the same cache as other more popular streets in Hoboken, this street is pleasant, clean and a great place to live especially if your a workaholic in the city.

"Beautiful brownstones, most of street is nice, residential"

Actually convinced us that we could happily live there. It has blocks of beautiful old brownstones that could rival Manhattan. Yuppies have discovered this gem of a street and it has been in the gentrification process. Our friends live here and it is really nice. The only thing is we were told to stay below 10th Street.

"Quiet, residential street in Hoboken, New Jersey"

Bloomfield Street is a moderately quiet place to live in the heart of Hoboken, New Jersey. It has many apartments and small businesses and would be a good place to live if you or who you live with wants to commute to New York City. Hoboken is not far from NYC at all (right across the river), and there are many easy access points nearby to the PATH train stations. Bloomfield Street is a good one to live one if you're in this situation.
