Are the schools in Black Hawk good and can the kids bus to school from town?

Are there a lot of kids that even live in town or are most in the outling areas of Gilpin County?

The schools here are located in Gilpin County and rate pretty average on testing scores. From what I know of Black Hawk there are a lot of homes on the outskirts of town and further into the mountains but not many within city limits.
