"In the Thick of Things"

Ben Hill Forest is a great neighborhood that's right in the thick of things. With easy access to interstate 285, and other major thoroughfares like Stone Road and Fairburn Road, the residents of Ben Hill Forest don't have to drive a very long way to access everything the city of Atlanta and surrounding communities have to offer. There are lovely greenspaces surrounding the neighborhood. Although there may not be a formal gym, there are plenty of opportunities for fitness and physical activity.

The cost of living in the Ben Hill forest neighborhood is comparable with that of neighboring communities, and I think most neighborhoods and cities, for that matter, are having difficulty with rental and resale value. Public transportation is easily accessed by the residents of Ben Hill Forest, so if they are not interested in driving their own car to fight traffic, they can let someone else bother with the drudgery.

There are a plethora of pros associated with this neighborhood, and very few cons. This would be a great neighborhood for anyone who likes to live close to the city and the action, but still enjoys many of the benefits of a neighborhood feel.
Pros
  • Great for just about everyone
  • plenty of green spaces to enjoy
  • decent childcare and schools
Cons
  • questionable resale and rental value
