Where to live?

I am a 28 year old male from Scottsdale, AZ and may be relocating to Seattle for a possible job opportunity. Based on my research, I am still not sure where to live since lots of articles I read are subjective. I understand I will need to pick my neighborhood based on where I will be working. In the meantime, I am single, prefer a nightlife, but would like to live in a safe area (assuming I can afford it). I was researching Bellevue (near downtown) and possibly Belltown or Queen Anne (North, West, Lower). What would you recommend? Locations that are safe with a nightlife is what I am interested in.
