"Don't mess with this HOA"
It's a nice street. I can't complain too much. It consists of townhouses, so it is a nice blend of singles, families and retired people. It is quiet, and generally kept looking nice. I enjoy living 10 minutes from Alamance Crossing, which is full of places to shop, eat and relax.
I don't like my HOA though. There are people who walk around and take notes on what to report about you. If you don't have your trash cans in by 6pm on Monday, you'll get a note... or someone will leave a nasty post-it on your door, etc. There is never enough guest parking, and they do tow, and the dues are absurd. Right now they are at $180 a month, and it keeps rising. I still haven't figured out for what though... lawncare for my little green patch can't be that much a month. We don't have a pool, can't go to the country club... nor any other 'perks' that would make that fee okay. I want to move so I can put that $180 a month toward a bigger house! Just craziness. Unless you want to tack on almost $200 a month to have someone report every little thing you do... I wouldn't bother with this street.

HOA complaints are very common and such a big annoyance! Have you asked them to explain where your money is being spent?
