Are the crime statistics to worry about? One website gave Beacon Hill an F for Crime.

Everything about this neighborhood looks perfect, but we're worried about crime statistics being higher than Seattle average. We're a family of four with two young's kids, 6 and 3.

Simply, YES.

I used to live in Beacon Hill and it is only marginally more safe than Rainier (which is easily in the top 3 worst neighborhoods of Seattle). I lived there for six months, and in that time, people attempted to break into our house several times during the day, and I was assaulted walking literally two blocks from the bus stop before even 11 pm.

Here is a great resource for comparing the safety of neighborhoods in Seattle: http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/wa/seattle/crime/ (dark blue = safest, gray = least safe)
