Is there a large foreign-born population in Beacon?

Out of Beacon's approximately 15,000 population, about 1800 people are foreign-born. The breakdown is interesting and shows Beacon's diversity. The predominant foreign-born population is from the Caribbean or other Central American countries, followed by a large and slightly puzzling “other," then India, Eastern Europe, Italy, non-Hong Kong Asia, Canada, "other" Europe, Peru, Hong Kong, and a United Nations of smaller populations. The general population of Beacon is 68% white and 32% minority.
