"Nice if you like to keep to yourself"
This review is for where Barranca Parkway intersects Culver Drive.
Irvine is a very well planned and thought out community, especially around this area, where, with the addition of The District shopping area, you have all sorts of entertainment, shopping and dining options available to you.
Around the area where Barranca and Culver meet is very quiet. Although it is close to The District, it is far enough removed where you do not have to deal with any of the traffic or noise, while still remaining centrally located in Irvine.
The neighbors are friendly, but, tend to keep to themselves. This area is a good place to raise a family. My friend moved out of there about a year ago and several new families had just moved in to that area and were planning on laying down roots for the long haul.
There are lots of schools and parks within walking distance. It is Irvine, so it is practically guaranteed as part of paying your taxes that your kids are safe walking home from school!
While this area is good for families, young adults will probably find it a bit too "settled" and boring for them. They are probably better off living closer The District, where they won’t disturb their neighbors when they come home late from the bars!
