"Baring Ave"
Baring Ave used to be a very nice place to live, but in the more recent years there have been houses and garages broken into, cars stolen, and people are a lot more scared than before. I wouldn't recommend moving to the area anymore.

Working class families, close to the expressway. Most people take care of their yard and house, the last year or two has been rough with the economy but it looks like the area is picking up. Close to Purdue University Calumet, Cabela's and other shopping. Crime is down 22% in Hammond and most problems are stolen tools and bikes out of the garage, major crime is almost nonexistent in south Hammond.
