"Excellent Street to Live"
Bard Avenue is home to two wonderful things on Staten Island: Richmond University Medical Center and Walker Park.
Living in the neighborhood, it is nice to have the hospital nearby. The location of the hospital resulted in most nice, more safe properties - mostly single family homes.
Walker Park has six tennis courts, two basketball courts and a baseball field, plus a large amount of general play area. Every Saturday, I've noticed cricket matches taking place in the park. It is open to the public and often utilized.

"Access Road and Good Scenery"
While this road is lengthy and provides access to almost anywhere you want to go in Staten Island and other parts of NYC in a timely fashion, there is not place really that you would want to live, or have kids go to school in. The drive along the road is nice because of the scenery, but like I said before it is not ideal for being a resident.
