"Beautiful Suburban Community"

Arcadia is an upscale Suburban community approximately 13 miles North East of downtown LA and at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. The population is about 55,000.

The community has many parks including the extremely well maintained and large Arcadia County Park, Santa Anita Park and Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden.

The average property prices range from $550,000 to $3,000,000. The majority of the prices are in the $800,000 range for 3,000 square feet 3 br/3ba. Homes offering newer construction, larger lots and more amenities are on the higher end.

A wonderful upscale suburban community perfect for commuting to downtown Los Angeles.
Pros
  • Beautiful parks
  • Large homes and lots
Cons
  • densely populated

"Great Community With Something For Everyone"

This is a very nice community approximately 15 miles outside of downtown Los Angeles. Popular and well regarded, this is a great place to live provided you have a decent cash flow. Arcadia has some beautiful and stately homes on large, manicured lots that make this a desirable filming location for Hollywood studios. There are some nice apartments and condos as well.

Situated along the 210 and 605 freeways, Arcadia is clustered along with Pasadena, Monrovia and Baldwin Park. Of course, traffic is never fun in LA, but the commute into downtown isn’t horrible. Public transportation is good and the Metro serves Arcadia at the Madre Street exit on the 210.

From what I know, the Arcadia School District is one of the best in the state and gets very good remarks. Arcadia High School consistently scores well in statewide testing which makes this a popular community for families.

There is ample shopping and dining choices throughout Arcadia, including the popular Westfield Santa Anita Mall, which has a variety of shops, including many high-end stores. The huge AMC theatre is also located here and makes this a popular hangout, particularly on weekends, for teens.

And of course, probably Arcadia’s biggest claim to fame is the Santa Anita Racetrack. Even if you are not a big fan of horseracing, this is a place to visit at least once. It has quite the legacy as many of the most popular racehorses, including Seabiscut, have raced here.

Overall, this is a terrific community and has something for everyone.

"A Nice Middle Upper Class Area"

One of the couple residential areas in Pasadena, LA, California it is known for it's dated but well-preserved historic homes, modest bungalows or extavangant mansions. Within these areas there are many gardens, historic neighborhoods (with beautiful houses but with a hefty price tag), house museums, and plenty of bed and breakfasts throughout the area.

Arcadia is known not only for it's great architecture and a neighborhood with upper middle class living but more so the dining experience. While this is not an extremely populated area, it is still full of people of all walks of life. Singles, couples, and elderly couples.

They have restaurants and bakeries throughout the area. With many choices to fit your budget, lifestyle, and cravings you will enjoy your dining experience each time you go out to eat.
Plenty of shops- grocery, apparel, home stores, everything is close by.

A great place to raise a family and enjoy this historic area regardless of where you are at in life.
